Tervel Hunting Grounds, Tervel
Hunting and angling are passions for life. There are nearly 140 000 registered hunters in Bulgaria and a further 3 000 foreign nationals visit the country each year. Its not hard too see why though, as Bulgaria boasts more than 16,000 red deer, 4,300 fallow deer, 71,500 roe deer, 45,000 wild boars, 2,200 mouflons, 1,800 wild goats, 2,700 capercaillies, 830 bears, 115,800 pheasants, 313,000 partridges and 36,000 rock partridges exist throughout Bulgaria.
Srebarna Nature Reserve, Silistra
the Srebarna Nature Reserve located in north eastern Bulgaria. The Srebarna Nature Reserve is a freshwater lake adjacent to the Danube and extending over 900 hectares. It is situated in North East Bulgaria in the Province of Silistra, 16 km west of the town of Silistra and 1 km south of the Danube.
Danube River, Ruse
From the mountains of the Black Forest, the Danube makes its way through cliffs and surges down wild and romantic gorges to flow by mighty castles, palaces and monasteries, framed by the enchanting landscapes and Baroque splendor along its banks. The German poet Friedrich Hölderlin called the Danube a refreshing, melodious river, sometimes foaming with high spirits, at other times dreaming serenely. No other river in the entire world has inspired so many poets, musicians and painters to create masterpieces, along no other river can such a tremendous variety of scenery, historic cities, magnificent architecture and cultural treasures be found.
Varna, Black Sea Resort & Beach
The gem of the Bulgarian Black Sea is situated at the end of the big Varna Bay, with a convenient and well conserved water area. The city's peculiar sea charm is sublime and moving. Ancient, medieval, renaissance and modern cultures mingle and coexist throughout the city. Varna lies on the same latitude of the famous Atlantic resorts Bayonne and Biarritz in France, on a large, flat and high terrace on the northwestern most curve of the bay which juts some 7 km inland.
Bulgarian Golf Courses
Three world-class golf courses are currently being built in North East Bulgaria. These golf courses provide an obvious benefit to the canny investor and to those who enjoy playing the game throughout the whole year. In fact, the milder climate that Bulgaria offers, compared with Spain and Portugal, makes North East Bulgaria an attractive alternative to play the game for 12 months of the year.
